USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) is a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship of the U.S. Navy.
It was launched on June 27, 1987, and commissioned on April 22, 1989.
The ship is 186 meters long, 26 meters wide, with a top speed of about 20 knots.
It can carry 4 LCACs, military vehicles, and Marines.
Its homeport is Little Creek, Virginia.
It is designed to support amphibious operations with landing craft and vehicles.
The crew includes around 400 personnel, including embarked Marines.
The ship has participated in various military, humanitarian, and multinational exercises.
