RANGER’S HISTORY

The Ranger is a J-Class sailing vessel, built to participate in the iconic America’s Cup regattas. Built in 1937 by craftsmen at the Starling Burgess Naval Board, Ranger is considered one of the fastest and most beautiful sailing ships in the history of this iconic liner.

The Ranger has a total length of approximately 41.1 meters (134.9 feet), and a width of approximately 6.7 meters (21.8 feet). This ship has a hull made from mahogany and built to high standards.

Ranger entered the America’s Cup in 1937, and quickly demonstrated his superior strength and speed. In this competition, Ranger defeated the rival boat, England’s Endeavor II, with a final score of 4-0. This victory cemented Ranger’s reputation as one of the strongest and finest sailing vessels in the history of America’s Cup sailing.
