PENDUICK’S HISTORY

Pen Duick sailboats are a famous line of boats originating in France, designed and owned primarily by famous racer and businessman Éric Tabarly.
Pen Duick I is the first sailboat in the Pen Duick series of boats. It was built in 1898 and designed to take part in La Transatlantique, a race from Plymouth to New York.
Pen Duick II was the first sailboat owned by Éric Tabarly. It is a wooden ketch, built in Scotland in 1964.
After Pen Duick II, Éric Tabarly owned and participated in various Pen Duick boats, including Pen Duick III (combining traditional and modern designs), Pen Duick IV (a wooden sloop), Pen Duick V (a fast maxi yacht).
