INGERMANLAND’S HISTORY

The Ingermanland (Ingria) was a Russian.

Construction: Built in the late 17th century, Ingermanland was a 66-gun ship of the line constructed for the Russian Navy.
Service: It played a significant role in several battles, notably in the Great Northern War (1700–1721) between Russia and Sweden.
Battle of Gangut (1714): Ingermanland participated in the Battle of Gangut, fought between the Russian and Swedish fleets in the Gulf of Finland. This pivotal naval battle marked the first significant victory of the Russian Navy.
Later Service: The ship continued its service after the war and underwent several reconstructions and modifications over the years to modernize it according to changing naval tactics and technology.
Fate: Ingermanland was decommissioned in the mid-18th century and eventually broken up, ending its active service.
