CMA CGM Marco Polo is owned by leading transportation company CMA CGM, headquartered in France. It was once one of the largest container ships in the world. The ship was built at the DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) shipyard in Korea and officially launched and put into use in November 2012.
The CMA CGM Marco Polo has a total length of approximately 396 meters (1,299 feet). The ship’s container capacity is about 16,020 TEU (a unit of measurement equivalent to a 20-foot container).
