The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the 10th Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and the last ship in this class of the United States Navy.
Construction: Named in honor of the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, construction of the ship began in 2003. She was built by Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia and launched in 2009.
Operations: The ship has assisted with a variety of missions including air strikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, maritime security operations, and joint military exercises with allied nations.

USS George H.W. Bush was commissioned into service on January 10, 2009, in a ceremony attended by former President George H.W. Bush.
USS George H.W. Bush is a giant aircraft carrier more than 1,000 feet long and capable of carrying multiple squadrons of fighter jets, helicopters, and other aircraft.
