In 1970, the Corvette continued to utilize the Stingray design from the previous year, but with some minor upgrades to both the exterior and interior. This included improved insulation, a larger rear end, and enhancements to details like headlights.

The 1970 Corvette was offered with a range of engines, starting from the smallest L46 350ci (5.7L) Small Block V8 to the most powerful LS5 454ci (7.4L) Big Block V8. The LS5 Big Block engine could generate powerful torque, but this was also a period known for reducing engine power and complying with new emissions standards.
