PENDUICK’S HISTORY

The Penduick is a famous French racing boat with a rich history. Built in 1898 in Fécamp, France, by designer Georges Lemaistre, the Penduick was originally built as a fishing boat, designed to catch fish in the waters off Iceland. However, in 1923, Éric Tabarly, a famous French boatman, bought Penduick and turned it into a racing boat. He significantly changed the structure and sail plan to optimize its performance during races. Under Tabarly’s ownership, Penduick became known for its success in many races, including the prestigious ocean transfer race. Tabarly’s brilliant sailing abilities coupled with Penduick’s speed make a formidable duo in the boatman’s world. Penduick is more than just a boat; It is also a symbol of adventure, skill and the eternal bond between the boatman and the sea.
