HISTORY

The MISS AMERICA X is the famous speed boat in the history of water sports and boat racing. It was built and crafted by Gar Wood, a famous boat racer and boat manufacturer during the 1920s and 1930s. This vessel was constructed in 1931. MISS AMERICA X was equipped with a powerful engine to achieve high speeds, allowing the boat to compete effectively in high-speed boat races.

MISS AMERICA X regularly participated in prestigious boat races and secured victory in many significant races. The vessel often competed in the Harmsworth Cup races, and it emerged victorious in the 1931 race. This solidified MISS AMERICA X’s standing in the world of high-speed water racing and contributed to the development of various racing boat types.

After a period of successful racing in high-speed boat competitions, MISS AMERICA X, like its predecessors, retired as the golden era of high-speed boat racing came to an end. Today, many famous racing boats like MISS AMERICA X have been preserved and are on display in maritime sports museums and historical exhibitions.
